B. KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Dr. Lucian holds a second upper B.Sc. (Honour) in Civil Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam, 1989, Masters’ degree of Civil. Eng. in Geotechnics and Infrastructure from the University of Hannover in Germany obtained in 1994 and Licentiate and PhD in Soil and Rock Mechanics from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden in 2006 and 2008 respectively.
He has over 20 years of delivering lectures to both undergraduate and postgraduate students most representatives of Engineers and Land Valuers at Ardhi University. He has widely published and presented various peer reviewed technical papers in international journals and conferences.

1986, Trainee Resident Engineer, Coastal Steel Industries (T) Ltd. The project involved construction of Dar es Salaam Harbours staff houses
Duties: Day to day supervision, certification of works carried out and resolving any technical contractual quarrels.
1987, Trainee Material Engineer, Ministry of Communications and works.
Duties: Testing of Materials e.g. Strength of materials, Atterberg Limits, CBR, insitu soil density and site compaction.
1988, Trainee Structural Engineer, Ministry of Communications and Works.
Duties: Design and design checking of the structural aspects of a number of buildings.
Assessment of structures in all construction materials (timber, concrete and composite) for various clients.
1988, Worked with the National Construction Company (NCC)
Responsible for carrying out evaluation of productivity rates in construction firms.
